Traducciones Públicas was founded by Pablo Mones, a well-known public translator with extensive knowledge and experience in the translation of contracts, powers of attorney, and scientific and technical areas such as medicine, biology, engineering, environmental and patents, among others.

He has also been twice president of the Colegio de Traductores Públicos del Uruguay, is Lecturer of two subjects of the Bachelor's Degree in Translation at the Universidad de Montevideo (Uruguay), is certified by the American Translators Association, and is member of academic committees of the Colegio de Traductores Publicos del Uruguay. He has given numerous lectures at the Colegio de Traductores Públicos del Uruguay and the Universidad de la República, published various articles, and delivered speeches at conferences.

Mones also holds a degree in Biological Sciences, was Lecturer in Genetics at the Universidad de la Republica (Uruguay), and co-authored a genetics paper that won the National Great Award in Medicine.
