Certified Public Translator and Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Universidad de la República (Uruguay). I have over 20 years of experience in technical, medical, legal, and patent translation. I work as a translator for the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO).
I served as president of the Uruguayan Association of Certified Translators (CTPU) for two terms (2011–2013 and 2013–2015) and as vice president from 2009 to 2011. I am a court-appointed translator for the Supreme Court of Justice.
I am certified by the American Translators Association (ATA) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) of the United Kingdom.
I have published articles on genetics and translation in peer-reviewed international journals. My academic output can be consulted through specialist profiles such as ORCID, Google Scholar, and the Virtual Health Library (BVS). I am a co-author of a research paper in medical genetics that received the 1992 National Grand Prize in Medicine, awarded by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the National Academy of Medicine.
