This category answers questions about what do I need to send to get a quote? and do I need to send the original document, or is a scan sufficient?, along with other frequent concerns related to process, turnaround, and format.
You need to send the full text — or the sections you want translated — along with any annexes, charts, and images, preferably in Word or another editable format for an accurate word count. PDF files or good-quality images also work.
For the quote, a scan or good-quality photographs are sufficient. For the certified translation, the original is required, since both the original and the translation must bear the certified translator's seal and signature. The seal and signature of a Uruguayan certified translator confer full legal validity on the translated document.
It has four stages: 1) you send the documents in hard copy or electronic format; 2) we send you a quote; 3) you confirm the assignment with a 50% advance payment; and 4) we deliver the translation.
We deliver it in whichever format you need: hard copy, digital, or both. We adapt to your requirements and those of the receiving institution. Digital translations are delivered as image-based PDFs to prevent content alterations and preserve the document's legal integrity.
Two certified translators are involved — one for each language pair.
Only one version is translated, since both carry the same legal force.
